Elderly individuals with underlying conditions (such as diabetes or lung diseases) need to be especially cautious, as they face a higher risk of severe illness.
RSV infection can sometimes exacerbate existing conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and chronic heart failure, and may even lead to severe consequences such as pneumonia, hospitalization, and death. However, we now have a new vaccine to address this threat. By receiving the RSV vaccine, you will have a stronger immune response to protect yourself.
